Researchers from LiST presented current work in biosensing, nanomaterials and biomedical applications in Vienna.
Interdisciplinary exchange on advanced materials and methods
On September 25, 2026, the Laboratory for Life Sciences and Technology (LiST) at Danube Private University (DPU) participated in the 7th Erwin Schrödinger Symposium “Advanced Materials and Methods in Biomedical Applications” at BOKU University in Vienna. The symposium brought together researchers working in nanoscience, advanced materials, bioengineering and biomedical applications.
Eight members of the LiST team attended the symposium, with five researchers presenting their current work as posters. Their contributions included research on microneedle interfaces for continuous biosensing, longitudinal monitoring of reproductive ageing, and the development of optical and electrochemiluminescence sensors. Further projects focused on plasmonic surfaces and novel materials for VOC sensors.
The symposium provided an opportunity for the LiST team to present ongoing research, exchange ideas across disciplines and strengthen scientific connections within the biomedical and nanoscience community.
