LiST
LiST
The Laboratory for Life Sciences and Technology (LiST) develops advanced (bio)sensors, smart diagnostic systems, and therapeutic platforms for personalized healthcare, point-of-care diagnostics, and precision medicine.
About LiST
The LiST group is dedicated to developing innovative technologies for personalized healthcare in Wiener Neustadt and Krems. Its research emphasizes functionalizing advanced materials for medical applications while maintaining a strong clinical orientation toward point-of-care diagnostic systems. This practice-oriented approach aims to translate new diagnostic and therapeutic solutions directly into real-world applications, improving patient care and quality of life.
Team and Expertise
As an interdisciplinary team, scientists of the LiST group combine expertise in medicine, biology, materials science, analytical chemistry, physics, and biotechnology. The group develops novel (bio)sensors, smart diagnostic systems, and therapeutic platforms, combining fundamental research on material interfaces, bioelectronic technologies, and optical and electrochemical analysis methods.
The team’s research aims to design innovative technologies for clinical use: from material development to integration into diagnostic and therapeutic systems, and ultimately to implementation in patient care. Clinical relevance, reliability, and practical applicability are central priorities in all of the group’s work.
Current Projects
The group’s research projects are developed in close collaboration with clinical partners and are guided by real-world medical needs. They include:
- Development of novel (bio)sensors and diagnostic platforms for point-of-care applications
- Research on smart diagnostic systems for health monitoring and disease prevention
- Material development for medical applications with precisely tunable properties
- Integration of digital technologies into medical devices and therapeutic platforms
- Translation of fundamental research into practical, clinically relevant applications
