Research Focus

This research area develops the material foundations that underpin next-generation sensing and biomedical systems. Research includes the design and synthesis of polymers, hydrogels, and composite materials with tunable physical, chemical, and biological properties. A strong emphasis is placed on surface and interface engineering, enabling precise control over molecular interactions, selectivity, and long-term stability. By establishing structure–property relationships, this research supports the rational design of materials for sensing, biointerfaces, and medical applications.
