Exploring Biosensors: Student Gains Hands-on Experience at DPU Research

Fifteen-year-old Stanley Stevenson completed a mandatory one-week work placement at DPU Research, gaining insights into everyday life in a research laboratory.

Experiencing Research First-hand

Stanley Stevenson, a student at the Polytechnic School in Ternitz, Austria, recently completed his mandatory one-week work placement at DPU Research.

Supervised by Dr. Mandana Amiri from the LIST Group, Stanley gained insights into the field of biosensors and experienced everyday life in a research laboratory. He also had the opportunity to try pipetting himself, which he particularly enjoyed.

The placement gave Stanley the opportunity to learn more about practical laboratory work and the activities involved in scientific research. Looking ahead, he is interested in pursuing a career in medical research.

DPU Research is pleased to offer students the opportunity to gain practical experience and explore potential career paths in science.
