Innovative Material Combination
The publication, “Sustainable Synergistic Engineering of Co–Fe Borate/Exfoliated Graphite Composites for Efficient Alkaline Water Splitting: A Response Surface Approach,” includes Prof. Dr. Mandana Amiri, researcher at Danube Private University (DPU), together with Dr. Ali Afruz, Prof. Dr. Abolfazl Bezaatpour, Dr. Patrick Bottke, Alexander Simon and Prof. Dr. Michael Wark.
Optimizing Electrocatalytic Performance
The study investigates Co–Fe borate/exfoliated graphite composites and the synergistic effects of their material components on electrocatalytic performance. The optimized material demonstrates high activity for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) under alkaline conditions.
Potential for Sustainable Energy Conversion
The study highlights the potential of combining materials engineering and optimization approaches to develop efficient electrocatalysts for sustainable energy conversion.
