emailUniv.-Prof. Dr. Dritan Turhani is Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Chairholder, and Director of the Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Danube Private University (DPU) in Krems, Austria. His clinical and scientific work focuses on bone regeneration, tissue engineering, and the advancement of academic excellence in dentistry.
Following his specialist training at the Medical University of Vienna and Vienna General Hospital (AKH), where he led the Bone Tissue Engineering research group, he completed his habilitation in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006. He subsequently served as Senior Consultant and Deputy Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Pölten University Hospital.
Since joining DPU in 2012, Dritan Turhani has been particularly committed to fostering young scientific talent. Through the establishment of the MKG Study Club, he supports students in pursuing an evidence-based and research-oriented dental career, encouraging their active participation in scientific conferences, research projects, and international peer-reviewed publications.
